We respect your privacy and follow all regulations to keep your data secure.

Privacy is very important at &frankly

The importance of privacy applies not just to our users but also to those who visit our website. We also think it is important to be transparent and clear about what this means in practice. Below you can read how we process personal data and how we discharge our responsibility to those who visit our website.

Our handling of personal data is based on the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and the regulations of the Swedish Data Inspection Authority. The fundamental criterion is your consent. The same applies to third parties – we will never disclose your data to anyone else without informing you and obtaining your expressed consent.

The content in this privacy policy is directed to everyone who visits our website. If you are a user of our service, you will find more information here.

What are personal data and cookies?

Personal data is anything that can identify you personally: your name, address, personal ID number, e-mail address and so on. Apart from personal data, there are things called cookies. Cookies are small files which are sent to your computer by your browser (unless you have disabled cookies) when you visit a website. Their function is to collect information about how you as a visitor use the website, most often in order for us to create a relevant experience for you. Cookies constitute a special category, as the Data Inspection Authority (which monitors compliance with the Swedish Data Protection Act) has not decided whether they should be classified as personal data or not.

&frankly chooses to treat cookies as if they were subject to the Data Protection Act, which means that legally speaking they are handled in the same way as your personal data. We believe privacy is extremely important. But it is also important for us to be able to store your cookies to be able to create a relevant experience.

Why does &frankly store personal data?

The fundamental reason why we store your personal data is that we want to build a good relationship with you. We want to be able to invite you to events, send you newsletters, share insights with you, and so on. In other words: to let you know what is happening in &frankly’s world. We also store cookies in order to give you the best possible experience of our website. Cookies enable us to give you as relevant an experience as possible and perhaps also recommend content to you that you have not seen before but that we think could be valuable for you. You can of course also use our website without cookies.

If you have provided your e-mail address to us during a visit to our website the cookie can be linked to your e-mail address. It is precisely that e-mail address which enables us, with your consent, to send you suggestions for more in-depth reading in the area that you are interested in, such as guides and blog posts.

How and what personal data do you store?

Personal data is stored in three different ways: on our website, by our partners and as cookies on your computer.
If you have accepted cookies these will be stored as you move around our website. Otherwise, personal data will be stored when you:

  • Download a guide or other file using a form on our site
  • Initiate a chat
  • Otherwise disclose personal data to us digitally, for example by registering for a course, event or seminar, filling in a contact form, etc.

The personal data we store depends on which data you have provided to us.
